The NYS Public Service Commission: The PSC provides consumer education, advocacy and complaint handling on behalf of residential utility customers. Staff seeks to ensure that the Department and the utility companies it regulates are responsive to the needs and concerns of individual consumers and to the public.

Lifeline Discounted Telephone Service Program: New York State Lifeline Discounted Telephone Service is an assistance program offered by many telephone providers, including some wireless and cable companies, to help income-eligible consumers save money on their phone bills.
