Departments

Assessor's Office

The Assessor's office is responsible for determing and maintaining assessments, property inventory records, ownership interests, exemptions and maps on an estimated 6,481 parcels.

Building Department

The Building Department is responsiple for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and orders applicable to the location, design, materials, construction, alteration, repair, equipment, maintenance, use, occupancy, removal and demolition of buildings and structures and their appurtenances located in the Town of Wilton.

Clerk's Office

The Town Clerk is responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Election Coordinator, and Records Manager. As of 2010, the duties of Tax Receiver will also be handled by the Town Clerk.

Comptroller's Office

The Comptroller's office is responsible for all fiscal matters and financial compliances for the Town of Wilton.

Engineering Department

The Engineer is responsible for reviewing commercial and residential subdivision projects for the Planning Board, as well as inspecting the construction of these projects in the field.

Gavin Park

Gavin Park is a central recreation complex for residents of the Town of Wilton and surrounding communities. Not only does Gavin Park offer a myriad of youth activities such as an After School Program and Summer Day Camp, sports programs for baseball, soccer, basketball, pickleball and coaches’ clinics, and family celebrations like the Holiday Tree lighting and Community Day, and also hosts several regional athletic tournaments and events that bring thousands of people to the area who frequent local shops, restaurants and hotels. Additionally, Gavin Park provides employment opportunities for many area youth.

Highway Department

The Highway Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 100 center-line miles of Town roads.

Parks

The Town of Wilton offers an amazing variety of outdoor activities. The town owned Camp Saratoga on Scout road offers over 22 acres of woodlands, wetlands, streams and open areas including 5 miles of trails for your hiking pleasure, beautiful Delegan pond for fishing, cabins and a pavillion for community and group activities. Residents should feel free to explore and enjoy the many benefits of these locations.

The Personnel Department provides for the staffing needs of all Town departments.
Planning Department

The Planning Department has a number of responsibilities within their role in serving the Town.

Senior Services

Information on services available for Seniors in the Town of Wilton, including the Lillian Worth Senior Center as well as information on housing, transportation and employment.

Supervisor

The Town Supervisor fills a significant role, serving in several major capacities. The Town Supervisor directs the day-to-day Town activities including the supervision of all Town departments. It is the responsibility of The Town Supervisor communicate with local, State and Federal agencies on matters relating to town government.

Tax Receiver

The town has grown very rapidly over the years. The tax office is now responsible for approximately 5,940 parcels (as of 3/1/2010). We always try very hard to be of assistance to property owners and are happy to answer any inquiries. Duplicate tax bills are available 24/7 by accessing the Pay Your Takes Online link. The Tax Roll is available for public inspection during collection hours. Property bills are mailed out on December 31st for delivery to the property owner within the first week of January.

Town Court

The Town Justice Court has jurisdiction over a broad range of matters, including vehicle and traffic matters, small claims, evictions, civil matters and criminal offenses.  The Town court is part of the New York State Unified Court System.

Town Facilities and Grounds

The Building and Grounds Department plays a key role in the smooth operation of the every day functions of the Town of Wilton municipal complex.

Town Historian

In 2018, The Town of Wilton NY celebrated it’s 200 birthday. Looking ahead to the future, Wilton continues to support the heritage of our community.

Water and Sewer

The Town of Wilton Water & Sewer Authority (WWSA) is a public benefit Corporation established in 1991. The Authority consists of five members, who were originally appointed by the Town Board of Wilton. The Town of Wilton's accountability for the Authority does not extend beyond making appointments.The WWSA leases office space from the Town of Wilton at 20 Traver Road in the Town Hall Annex but is not a branch of the Town of Wilton's governing body.
