Welcome to the Town of Wilton Town Clerk’s Office.
Thousands of people contact this office annually for a variety of reasons. As the center of information, the Town Clerk provides the public with a variety of services in a timely and professional manor.
Recognizing that this office is the center of information, we continue to work very hard to find and improve ways of securing information as well as means of efficient access. To this end, the Town Hall is equipped with a secure vault system that provides vast storage and retrieval capabilities. We are also now equipped with a LaserFiche program that makes data storage very efficient.
As prescribed by New York State Town Law, the Town Clerk is required to be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to, Registrar of Vital Statistics, Election Coordinator, and Records Manager. As of 2010, the duties of Tax Receiver will also be handled by the Town Clerk.
The Town Clerk has one Deputy, who assists with virtually every aspect of the office. Please feel free to come in to the office for assistance.

In order to have Saratoga County participate in the cost of his or her community college education, a student must obtain a Certificate of Residency and submit it to the college. Military personnel on active duty, as well as their spouses and dependants, are entitled to the lower “Resident” rate directly from the college; they do not need a Certificate of Residency.
According to Town of Wilton Chapter 53-6, all dogs 4 months of age or older must be licensed. To obtain a license for your dog, see the Wilton Town Clerk at the Town Hall on Traver Road. Proof of rabies immunization is required to be presented at the time of licensing or the renewal of an existing license. A spay or neuter certificate will reduce the fee.

A couple who intends to be married in New York State must apply in person for a marriage license to any town or city clerk in the state. The application for a license must be signed by both applicants in the presence of the town or city clerk.
