Camp Saratoga

Camp Saratoga located at 90 Scout Road is a former Boy Scout camp operated from 1930 to 2001.

The 22-acre area of Camp Saratoga is owned and maintained by the Town of Wilton for passive recreation and environmental education and serves as the main entry to the surrounding NYSDEC lands. 

Camp Saratoga includes 5 miles of walking trails, beautiful Delegan pond for youth fishing, Cabins and a Pavillion for Community and Group Activities. The property encompasses a diversity of ecosystems including woodlands, wetlands, strams and open areas.

The Town-owned portion of Camp Saratoga is open to the public from dawn to dusk. Unleashed dogs, dumping, unauthorized vehicles, unauthorized fires, and unauthorized camping are prohibited. 

Scout Road is a NO PARKING zone. Parking is in designated lots only. Do not block access road gates.

Directions:

From the south: Take the I-87 North to Exit 16. Take the first right off the exit ramp onto Ballard Road, and make the first right on Edie Road. Continue for 1.1 miles and make a turn at your first left onto Scout Road. Drive down Scout Road until you reach Parking Lot #1 on the left side of the street.

From the north: Take the I-87 South to Exit 16. Take a left onto Ballard Road, cross the Northway and make the first right on Edie Road. Continue for 1.1 miles and make a turn at your first left onto Scout Road. Drive down Scout Road until you reach Parking Lot #1 on the left side of the street.

Group Information:

All organized community groups intending to use Camp Saratoga for a day or an overnight MUST complete and submit an application form to the Town of Wilton. The maximum number of people permitted at day use events is at the discretion of the Town of Wilton. A refundable damage deposit may be required. All applications for use of Camp Saratoga will be treated equally and will be processed on a first-come, first- served basis. Late submittal of the forms will result in the cancellation of the reservation.

  • Overnight Cabin Area (Occupancy 8 campers each)
  • Dining Hall(Occupancy 140)
  • Hilltop Tenting Campsite (Occupancy 40)
  • Lean-to Camping Area (Occupancy 20)
  • Campfire Areas (Provide your own approved firewood)
  • IP Wilton Lodge Multi-use Building (Occupancy 40)
  • Barbeque and Pavilion Area

Camp Saratoga is available for group day and overnight use all year except for New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

All requests for Camp Saratoga usage shall be at the discretion of the Town of Wilton.

Group Registration Packet

All 5 pages of this registration packet must be completed and returned at least two weeks prior to your program date or your program will be cancelled.
