Complete the application in full. Each year we receive several applications that get rejected because they are not complete (missing references are the main reason). We do not contact you if you have missing items, however you may contact us to see if your application is complete.

  • Positions are not guaranteed until the end of camp registration
  • A background check will be conducted prior to employment
  • You must be the appropriate age by the first day of camp
  • Interviews will be contacted in April

(we do allow two days off for a college visit with proof & notification prior to camp starting).

POSITION DESCRIPTIONS                                     

Counselor
The counselor is assigned to a specific age group and participates in a variety of daily activities acting as the catalyst, the leader, the helper, a listener, and above all, the role model.  The counselor is responsible for keeping track of the group, for assisting the group’s supervisor, and for keeping the campers safe.  
Applicant MUST be at least 16 years of age.

Specialist (Sports or Arts and Crafts).  
The specialist is responsible for 3 to 4 group activities inside one’s area of expertise daily.  Weekly activity plans for each age group will be required.  The specialist also supervises staff within one’s assigned group.  As this is an essential leadership position, applicants must have leadership experience as a planner, a creator, and a doer.  The specialist spends 90% of one’s time onsite.  This requires an energetic and creative individual who can keep the campers busy each day.   CPR and first aid certifications are also required.   (Training will be supplied, if necessary.)
Applicant MUST be at least 17 years of age.

Supervisor
The supervisor heads a specific age group. The supervisor must be highly skilled in the organization and instruction of staff as well as campers.  The supervisor supervises all staff in one’s specific age group, prepares counselor evaluations, and writes weekly reports.  CPR for the Professional, Responding to Emergencies First Aid and Lifeguard certifications are also required.   (Training and/or payment will be provided, if necessary.)
Applicant MUST be at least 18 years of age.

Medical/Lifeguard
This staff rotates between on-site and off-site activities.  The medical/lifeguard staff is responsible for taking care of basic medical treatment.  For off-site activities, the medical/lifeguard staff double as lifeguards and assist with “buddy checks.”  The staff members play vital roles in the smooth running of the camp program and requires mature, calm, and highly responsible individuals.  This position also requires CPR for the Professional, Responding to Emergencies First aid, as well as Lifeguard certifications. (Training and/or payment will be provided, if necessary.)
